Fjord Expedition

On Day 1, you will land in scenic Ilulissat. During the approach, the city’s colorful houses will stand out against the snowy landscape. Upon arrival, your driver will driver you to Hotel Arctic for check-in. Later, he will brief you about the area, and you’ll embark on a town walk through Ilulissat, learning about its history and the local sled dogs. That evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at the hotel restaurant.

On this day you will hike to the ancient Inuit settlement of Sermermiut, just 1.5 kilometers south of Ilulissat, where you will explore the ruins and learn about Inuit life. Along the way, take in breathtaking views of the Icefjord from Kællingekløften. The rest of the day is free to explore on your own—you can visit the Icefjord Center, Zions Church, or the Knud Rasmussen Museum.

Day 3 begins with a spectacular boat trip through Disko Bay, where you will sail among towering icebergs, some over 100 meters high. The boat has a heated cabin for comfort during the 2-2.5-hour journey. In the evening, if the skies are clear, you can join a Northern Lights Hunt, where you will drive to a dark spot away from the city to witness the stunning aurora borealis.

Join us for an unforgettable day in Oqaatsut, a charming settlement 20 kilometers north of Ilulissat. Start with a scenic boat ride through the icy waters of Disko Bay, then walk across the frozen bay to reach the settlement.

Once there, you'll don warm, full-body suits and head out for an exhilarating ice fishing experience, complete with a hot beverage. Enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner at Restaurant H8, featuring local Greenlandic fish or meat, and take some time to explore the picturesque settlement before returning to Ilulissat.

On the last day you will be picked up by a private driver and driven to the airport in time for your flight. *You have to be at Ilulissat airport 1 hour before departure.
