Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival to Ilulissat & City Walk
Start your winter adventure in Ilulissat with a warm welcome at the Ilulissat Guesthouse. Enjoy an overview of your 5-day itinerary and embark on a guided city walk to familiarize yourself with the key sites and local culture of this vibrant town.
Day 2
Icefjord Sailing & Northern Lights Snowshoe Hike
Experience the breathtaking beauty of Disko Bay on an icefjord cruise, navigating around colossal icebergs released by the Ilulissat Glacier. Later, venture out on a snowshoe hike to chase the elusive Northern Lights, hoping to catch their stunning display in the Arctic sky.
Day 3
Snowmobile Excursion & Hike to Ilulissat Icefjord
Set out on an exhilarating snowmobile excursion to explore the remote landscapes surrounding Ilulissat. Depending on conditions, visit the small settlement of Oqaatsut or see locals ice fishing. In the afternoon, embark on a snowshoe hike through Sermermiut Valley to the breathtaking Ilulissat Icefjord, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Day 4
Dog Sled Trip & Artic Sauna
Experience the traditional Greenlandic way of travel with a thrilling dog sledding adventure. Depending on weather conditions, choose to explore the coastline or backcountry for stunning views of the Icefjord. After your ride, unwind and warm up in the Arctic sauna, complete with views of Disko Bay.
Day 5
Departure
On the last day you will be picked up by a private driver and driven to the airport in time for your flight. *You have to be at Ilulissat airport 1 hour before departure.
