This ten day privately guided tour will take you all the way around Iceland on the ring road. The ring road is the main road that connects the inhabited parts and runs around Iceland. It is 1,332 km (828 miles) long, mostly with one lane each direction. You will start and end in Reykjavik, visiting many of Iceland’s best known natural attractions including amazing waterfalls, hot springs, the Golden Circle, the beautiful south coast and many more places. You will sail among icebergs in the glacier lagoon, explore the remote Eastfjords and go whale watching in Húsavík that is considered to be the whale watching capital of Europe. Day 1
When you arrive in Iceland at Keflavik Airport, your private driver will greet you at the arrival hall and take you to Reykjavik where you will visit the capitals most popular highlights and attractions.
Day 2
Today you will embark on a journey along the Golden Circle route, unveiling some of Iceland's most popular destinations and captivating attractions. Get ready to travel this enchanting path as you discover the wonders that have captured the hearts of countless adventurers.
Day 3
Today you will dive headfirst into the action as you set your sights on the captivating beauty of the Icelandic south shore. This journey will take you through the breathtaking landscapes and enchanting wonders that await along its coastline.
Day 4
On this day you will head to the Glacier Lagoon, also known as Jökulsárlón, where you will enjoy everything that the lagoon has to offer. The lagoon is a mesmerizing natural wonder showcasing Iceland's glaciers' breathtaking beauty where icebergs float on the calm lagoon, creating a surreal and ethereal atmosphere.
Day 5
On this day you will start to drive towards the Eastfjords of Iceland. East Iceland is characterized by small villages, dramatic coastlines, narrow fjords, waterfalls and mountains. The nature is always close and the scenery is breathtaking.
Day 6
On this day you will embark on a captivating journey through the unique natural wonders of Lake Mývatn and its intriguing lunar landscapes. Located in the northern region of Iceland, Mývatn is a volcanic lake that invites you to immerse yourself in its beauty.
Day 7
Today you will visit Húsavík, where your adventure awaits. Nestled along the eastern shore of Shaky Bay, Húsavík proudly holds the prestigious title of being the Whale Capital of Iceland, inviting you to witness these majestic creatures up close. As you explore, imagine stepping back in time to the year 860, when a Swedish Viking laid the foundation for Iceland's first-ever house right here in Húsavík.
Day 8
On your way to Reykholt, you will explore Skagafjordur in the North of Iceland. This captivating region is renowned for its majestic mountains, sparkling rivers, and rich equestrian heritage, making it a haven for nature lovers.
Day 9
Today is your day to savor the wonders that the Borgarfjörður area has in store for you. Borgarfjörður region is known for being the setting for most of the Icelandic sagas. The landscape, nature, and culture reflect this heritage and bring history to life. Borgarfjörður offers many opportunities for those who want adventurous activities in a true natural paradise.
Day 10
On the last day you will be picked up by a private driver and driven to the Blue Lagoon to relax before your departure from Iceland. After relaxing in the lagoon and enjoying the spa amenities your private driver will take you to Keflavik Airport in time for your departure *You have to be at Keflavik airport 2 hours before departure.
